"Thank you so much for the assistance you gave us. We were at the end of our rope and didn't know who to turn to. We knew Dad didn't want to go to a nursing home, but we couldn't stay with him 24/7 and carry on with our lives. I was going to quit my job so I could stay with him when Comfort Keepers came into our lives. You were a Godsend."
"I want to personally thank you for taking care of my mom during her last days. Your time with her was special and helped make her comfortable. I have a newfound respect for the care you give people. You are truly special."
"I wish to acknowledge the superb contributions to my mother's safety and well-being made by the people of Comfort Keepers. Not only did you arrange for her care on very short notice, but every caregiver who came to the house was well prepared for her difficult work. Every one of them was compassionate and skilled and added a unique touch to her care."
The Story Of Craig & Jamarl
If you have a loved one who is aging and would like to stay independent and in their home for as long as possible you’re probably thinking about care services and our caregivers, called Comfort Keepers, are here to support your loved one in any way we can. This can include things as simple as housekeeping services or transportation to important appointments to things as complicated as helping you set a plan of action and safety for a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. We know that sometimes you or your senior will need a little extra help, and that’s okay.
For Craig and his wife, Betty Lou, their Comfort Keeper Jamarl has been an invaluable help. He is able to provide companionship and transitional care to Craig, while also providing Betty Lou with respite services. Craig says that doing the daily newspaper crossword with Jamarl and debating with him and telling him stories has helped his memory, while Betty Lou has said her mood and mental state have improved since he started working with them. For our caregivers, including Jamarl, often the most rewarding part of their job is providing companionship to the seniors they look after, as many are veterans or have fascinating stories to share. This happy story is just one of the many that Comfort Keepers® caregivers have helped seniors write.
